Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. is seeking a Graduate or Intern Architect with professional skills acquired from prior work experience and education to join our Architecture Department. Our work includes industrial, automotive, transportation, municipal, recreational and commercial projects.
Graduate Intern Architect

Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Degree: Obtained or in the process of obtaining Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Associate in Architectural Engineering
- 1-5 years professional experience
- Preferred experience in commercial and municipal projects
- Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Revit, Bentley MicroStation, Adobe Design Suite is a plus
- Working towards obtaining licensure in State of Michigan is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Project Manager in charge of the assigned project
- Work in support of architectural design and development of projects (CAD, code research and application, product research and application, cost estimating and application of other programs & technology)
- Client contact for review of design and planning concepts
- Prepare design development and construction documents, including details and specifications
- Construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFI’s and job site observation
- Provide external communications via telephone calls and/or email, and preparing correspondence as required by various projects
- Communicate with consultants and manufacturers
- Prepare 2-D and 3-D color renderings of design concepts
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Minimum 3 years relative experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans and specifications
- Strong math skills
- Basic computer skills are required
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical and substance abuse test
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel throughout Michigan
