HRC Reaches Over $1 Billion in Secured Funding for Clients
October 2018
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan – Dan Mitchell, President, recently announced that Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. (HRC) surpassed the one-billion-dollar mark for helping to secure funding for our clients’ projects. This commitment builds on our work we’ve been doing since 1915.
A $97 million grant for the Mound Road Industrial Corridor Technology and Innovation (MTIC) project pushed us over this major milestone. The MTIC is a partnership of Macomb County, the City of Sterling Heights, and the City of Warren to transform 9 miles of the Mound Road corridor, part of the National Freight Highway Network, from a 30-year-old, 8-lane roadway strewn with potholes and a decaying roadbed to a next generation critical commercial corridor. The Mound Road industrial corridor is a vitally-important national asset that employs tens of thousands of workers and facilitates freight movement for key aerospace, defense, and automotive manufacturing facilities. “HRC’s contributions to the project team were instrumental to our successful funding request,” stated Mark Hackel, Macomb County Executive.
“We’re extremely proud of this achievement and we’re going to continue developing sound engineering solutions to our clients’ infrastructure needs and helping with these solutions.” said Dan. “These funding packages are vital in helping our clients’ project visions become reality.”
Today, Michigan’s infrastructure is considered old and outdated, dating some systems back to the late 1800s. Federal and State aid help finance critical programs and services, so maintenance and replacement is proactive rather than reactive. Over the past 100 years, HRC has been very successful in helping our clients secure funding for projects via stimulus grants, economic development grants and loans, state revolving funds, and other public and private sources.
For 103 years, HRC has been providing consulting engineering and architectural services to municipal, industrial and private clients throughout Michigan, in addition to servicing various national clients. As a full service, multi-disciplined firm, HRC is comprised of over 275 engineers, professional surveyors, architects, technicians, and support staff, including LEED AP accredited professionals. HRC is an Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 500 Design Firm and Top 50 Trenchless Technology Design Firm whose work has been recognized by numerous prestigious industry awards. HRC is headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, with seven additional offices throughout Michigan. For more information, visit our website at www.www.hrcengr.com.
